Great artisans are usually capable of:
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
- Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:
- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
- Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
- Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.
Other work activities related to Machine feeders and offbearers
- Removing materials and products from machines and equipment, and placing them in boxes, trucks or conveyors, using hand tools and moving devices.
- Pushing dual controlling buttons and moving controls for starting, stopping, or adjusting machinery and equipment.
- Identifying and marking materials, products, and samples, following instructions.
- Loading materials and products into machines and equipment, or onto conveyors, using hand tools and moving devices.
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery, equipment, and working areas for ensuring proper functioning and safe working conditions.
- Weighing or measuring materials or products for ensuring conformance to specifications.
- Fastening, packaging, or stacking materials and products, using hand tools and fastening equipment.
- Recording production and operational data, such as the amount of materials processed.
- Adding chemicals, solutions, or ingredients to machines or equipment as required by the manufacturing processes.
