Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Molding and casting workers

  • Brushing or spraying mold surfaces with parting agents or inserting paper into molds for ensuring smoothness and preventing sticking or seepage.
  • Cleaning, finishing, and lubricating molds and their parts.
  • Separating models or patterns from molds and examining products for accuracy.
  • Pouring, packing, spreading, or press plaster, concrete, liquid plastic, or other materials into or around models or molds.
  • Operating and adjusting controls of heating equipment for melting material or for curing, drying, or baking the filled molds.
  • Reading working orders or examining parts for determining parts or sections of products to be produced.
  • Loading or stacking filled molds in ovens, dryers, or curing boxes, or on storage racks or carts.
  • Setting the proper operating temperature for each casting.
  • Measuring and cutting products to specified dimensions, using measuring and cutting instruments.
  • Removing excess materials and leveling and smooth wet mold mixtures.
  • Melting metal pieces, using torches, and casting products, such as inlays and crowns, using centrifugal casting machines.
