Great artisans are usually capable of:
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
- Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
- Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:
- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
- Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
- Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.
Other work activities related to Semiconductor processors
- Manipulating valves, switches, and buttons, or inputting commands into controlling panels for starting semiconductor processing cycles.
- Maintaining processing, production, and inspection information and reports.
- Inspecting materials, components, or products for surface defects and measuring circuitry, using electronic testing equipment, precision measuring instruments, microscope, and standard procedures.
- Cleaning semiconductor wafers using cleaning equipment, such as chemical baths, automatic wafer cleaners, or blowing off wands.
- Studying working orders, instructions, formulas, and processing charts for determining specifications and sequence of operations.
- Loading and unloading equipment chambers and transporting finished product to storage or to area for further processing.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment, including replacing etching and rinsing solutions and cleaning bath containers and working area.
- Placing semiconductor wafers in processing containers or equipment holders, using vacuum wand or tweezers.
