- Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
Supervisor

Any supervisor should excel at:
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment.
- Detecting or assessing problems whether real or potential.
- Monitoring and controlling resources and overseeing the spending of money.
Other work activities related to Painters, transportation equipment
- Mixing paints for matching color specifications or vehicles’ original colors, stirring or thinning paints, using spatulas or power mixing equipment.
- Selecting paint according to company requirements and matching paint colors, following specified color charts.
- Removing accessories, such as chrome or mirrors, from vehicles and mask other surfaces with tape or paper for protecting them from paint.
- Disassembling, cleaning, and reassembling sprayers or power equipment, using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths.
- Sanding and applying the sealers and finishes to properly dried vehicles.
- Cleaning equipment and working areas.
- Operating lifting or moving devices for moving equipment or materials for accessing areas to be painted.
- Using brush to hand paint areas in need of retouching or unreachable with a spraying gun.
- Disposing of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
- Removing grease, dirt, paint, or rust from vehicle surfaces in preparation for painting it, using abrasives, solvents, brushes, blowtorches, washing tanks, or sandblasters.
