Strategist

Most strategists should excel at:

  • Establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.

Other work activities related to Jewelers

  • Smoothing soldered joints and rough spots, using hand files and emery paper, and polishing smoothed areas with polishing wheels or buffing wire.
  • Positioning stones and metal pieces, and setting, mounting, and securing items in place, using setting and hand tools.
  • Creating jewelry from materials such as gold, silver, platinum, and precious or semiprecious stones.
  • Making repairs, such as enlarging or reducing ring sizes, soldering pieces of jewelry together, and replacing broken clasps and mountings.
