Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Artisan

Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Other work activities related to Coil winders, tapers, and finishers

  • Operating or tending wire coiling machines for winding wire coils used in electrical components such as resistors and transformers, and in electrical equipment and instruments such as bobbins and generators.
  • Reviewing working orders and specifications for determining materials needed and types of parts to be processed.
  • Cutting, strip, and bending wire leads at ends of coils, using pliers and wire scrapers.
  • Selecting and loading materials such as workpieces, objects, and machine parts onto equipment used in coiling processes.
  • Recording production and operational data on specified forms.
  • Attaching, altering, and trimming materials such as wire, insulation, and coils, using hand tools.
  • Stopping machines for removing completed components, using hand tools.
  • Examining and testing wired electrical components such as motors, armatures, and stators, using measuring devices, and recording testing results.
  • Applying solutions or paints to wired electrical components, using hand tools, and baking components.
