Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Helpers (carpenters)

  • Drilling holes in timbers or lumber.
  • Cutting timbers, lumber, or paneling to specified dimensions.
  • Positioning and holding timbers, lumber, or paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
  • Erecting scaffolding, shoring, or braces.
  • Selecting tools, equipment, or materials from storage and transporting items to working site.
  • Fastening timbers or lumber with glues, screwss, pegs, or nails and installing hardware.
  • Cleaning working areas, machines, or equipment, for maintaining a cleaning and safe job site.
  • Holding plumb bobs, sighting rods, or other equipment for aiding in establishing reference points and lines.
  • Aligning, straightening, plumbing, or squaring forms for installation.
  • Smoothing or sanding surfaces for removing ridges, tool marks, glues, or caulking.
  • Performing tie spacing or tie column layout and measuring, marking, drilling or cutting.
  • Securing stakes to grids for constructions of footings, nailing scabs to footing forms, and vibrate and float concrete.
  • Constructing forms and assisting in raising them to the required elevation.
