Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Administrator

Archetype 1 Administrator

Any administrator should excel at:

  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates, as well as communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, selecting, hiring, and promoting employees in an organization, and getting them to work together to accomplish tasks by encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.

Other work activities related to Construction laborers

  • Cleaning or preparing construction sites for eliminating possible hazards.
  • Reading plans, instructions, or specifications for determining working activities.
  • Controlling traffic passing near, in, or around working zones.
  • Signaling equipment operators for facilitating alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
  • Digging ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compacting and leveling earth to grades specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
  • Positioning, joining, aligning, or sealing structural components, such as concrete wall sections or pipes.
  • Measuring, marking, or recording the openings or the distances for laying out areas where the construction works will be performed.
  • Loading, unloading, or identifying the building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to the projects plans or specifications.
  • Erecting or dismantling scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, or other temporary structures.
  • Positioning or dismantling forms for pouring concrete, using saws, hammers, nails, or bolts.
