Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Mediator

Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Other work activities related to Nursery workers

  • Planting, spraying, weeding, fertilizing, and water plants, shrubs, and trees, using hand tools and gardening tools.
  • Harvesting plants, and transplanting or potting and labelling them.
  • Feeling plants’ leaves and noting their coloring for detecting the presence of insects or disease.
  • Operating tractors and other machinery and equipment for fertilizing, cultivating, harvesting, and spraying fields and plants.
  • Inspecting plants and bud ties for assessing quality.
  • Digging, cutting, and transplanting seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs.
  • Moving containerized shrubs, plants, and trees, using wheelbarrows or tractors.
  • Cleaning working areas, and maintaining grounds and landscaping.
  • Hauling and spreading topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials for conditioning soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels.
  • Maintaining and repairing irrigation and climate controlling systems.
  • Recording information about plants and their growth.
  • Selling and delivering plants and flowers to customers.
  • Tying and bunch flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees, wrapping their roots, and packing them into boxes for fulfilling orders.
