Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Mediator

Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Other work activities related to Crossing guards

  • Monitoring traffic flow for locating safe gaps through which pedestrians can cross streets.
  • Directing or escorting pedestrians across streets, stopping traffic as necessary.
  • Guiding or controlling vehicular or pedestrian traffic at such places as street and railroad crossings and construction sites.
  • Communicating traffic and crossing rules and other information to students and adults.
  • Reporting unsafe behavior of children to school officials.
  • Recording license numbers of vehicles disregarding traffic signals, and reporting infractions to appropriate authorities.
  • Directing traffic movement or warning of hazards, using signs, flags, lanterns, and hand signals.
  • Learning the location and purpose of street traffic signs within assigned patrol areas.
  • Stopping speeding vehicles for warning drivers of traffic laws.
