Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Controller

Archetype 4 Controller

Controllers are expected to be good at:

  • Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate manufacturing systems.
  • Working with hand operated industrial machines and power tools.
  • Adjusting knobs, levers, and physical or touch sensitive buttons in industrial devices.
  • Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, passenger vehicles, aircraft, or watercraft.

Other work activities related to Radiologic technicians

  • Assuring that sterile or non sterile supplies such as contrast materials, catheters, films, chemicals, or other required equipment, are available and in working order or requisitioning materials.
  • Collecting and maintaining records of patients examined, examinations performed, patient medical histories, views taken, or technical factors used.
  • Completing quality controlling activities, monitoring equipment operation, and reporting malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
  • Performing general administrative tasks, such as answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, or pulling and filing films.
  • Using beam restrictive devices and patient shielding techniques for minimizing radiation exposure to patient and staff.
  • Positioning x ray equipment and adjusting controls to setting exposure factors, such as time and distance.
  • Positioning patient on examining table and setting up and adjusting equipment for obtaining optimum view of specific body area as requested by physician.
  • Determining patients’ x ray needs by reading requests or instructions from physicians.
