Archetype 7 Mediator

Mediators should be capable of:

  • Providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients.
  • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores, and receiving clients or guests.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.

Artisan

Archetype 9 Artisan

Great artisans are usually capable of:

  • Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
  • Performing precise and skillful manipulation of small objects.
  • Being active and proactive in regards to physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Other work activities related to Radiologic technologists

  • Reviewing and evaluating developed x rays, video tape, or computer generated information for determining if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes.
  • Using radiation safety measures and protection devices for complying with government regulations and for ensuring safety of patients and staff.
  • Explaining procedures and observing patients for ensuring safety and comfortability during scanning.
  • Operating or overseeing operation of radiologic or magnetic imaging equipment for producing images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Positioning and immobilize patient on examining table.
  • Positioning imaging equipment and adjusting controls to setting exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination.
  • Inputting commands and data into computer for documenting and specifying scanning sequences, adjusting transmitters and receivers, or photographing certain images.
  • Monitoring video display of area being scanned and adjusting density or contrast for improving picture quality.
