Archetype 3 Analyzer

Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Inspector

Archetype 6 Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Other work activities related to Environmental economists

  • Preparing and delivering presentations for communicating the economic and environmental results of the studies, for presenting policy recommendations, or for raising awareness of environmental consequences.
  • Interpreting indicators for ascertaining the overall health of an environment.
  • Identifying and recommending environmentally friendly business practices.
  • Demonstrating or promoting the economic benefits of sound environmental regulations.
  • Writing technical documents or academic articles for communicating the results of the studies or economic forecasts.
  • Writing social, legal, or economic impacts statements for informing decision makers for natural resource policies, standards, or programs.
  • Writing researching proposals and grant applications for obtaining private or public funding for environmental and economic studies.
  • Examining the exhaustibility of natural resources or the long term costs of environmental rehabilitation.
  • Developing systems for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting environmental and economic data.
