Analyzers will often perform the following tasks:

  • Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
  • Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

Inspector

Archetype 6 Inspector

Inspectors should be great at:

  • Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.
  • Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.
  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.

Other work activities related to Economists

  • Providing litigation assistance, such as writing reports for expert testimony or testifying as an expert witness.
  • Studying the socioeconomic impacts of new public policies, such as proposed legislation, taxes, services, and regulations.
  • Conducting researching on economic issues and disseminating researching findings through technical reports or scientific articles in journals.
  • Studying economic and statistical data in area of specialization, such as finance, labor, or agriculture.
  • Providing advices and consultation on economic relationships to businesses, public and private agencies, and other employers.
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting data for explaining economic phenomena and forecast market trends, applying mathematical models and statistical techniques.
  • Formulating recommendations, policies, or plans for solving economic problems or for interpreting markets.
  • Developing economic guidelines and standards and preparing points of view used in forecasting trends and formulating economic policy.
